{"id":570,"date":"2010-09-12T16:21:28","date_gmt":"2010-09-12T14:21:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ixdc.net\/blog\/?p=570"},"modified":"2010-09-12T16:21:28","modified_gmt":"2010-09-12T14:21:28","slug":"adobe-for-iphone-back-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ixdc.net\/blog\/2010\/09\/12\/adobe-for-iphone-back-online\/","title":{"rendered":"Adobe For iPhone Back Online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a long waited debate ended-up with great news for every Flash &#038; ActionScript developer ..<br \/>\nOn September 9<sup>th<\/sup>, Apple has announced a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/pr\/library\/2010\/09\/09statement.html\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#EF6596;\">statement<\/span><\/a> that it has lifted restrictions on its third-party developer guidelines, followed by Adobe in the same day <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.adobe.com\/conversations\/2010\/09\/great-news-for-developers.html\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#EF6596;\">announcing<\/span><\/a> to developers that they can deliver applications for iOS devices, and they will now resume development work on <a href=\"https:\/\/labs.adobe.com\/technologies\/packagerforiphone\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#EF6596;\">Adobe\u2019s Packager for iPhone<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Well, What would be the odds of that?<br \/>\nConsidering how many ActionScript developers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elance.com\/d\/popular-skills\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#EF6596;\">compared<\/span><\/a> to Objective C developers, I think it&#8217;s clear enough that there is a revolution coming to the <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/genre\/mobile-software-applications\/id36?mt=8\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#EF6596;\">AppStore<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some would say, so what?!<br \/>\nI say it&#8217;s simply a huge field for expanding Flash based applications, which means extremely good for business, especially with the multi-touch feature ..<br \/>\nand ..<br \/>\nIt increases the potential competition between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/html5\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#EF6596;\">HTML5<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adobe.com\/flashplatform\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#EF6596;\">Flash Platform<\/span><\/a> as well!<\/p>\n<p>Because Apple has adopted HTML5 since it is <i>open<\/i> standards, unlike Flash which is <i>closed<\/i> system, in addition to few other reasons <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/hotnews\/thoughts-on-flash\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#EF6596;\">stated<\/span><\/a> by Steve Jobs himself on April 2010, which of course what this is all about ..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a long waited debate ended-up with great news for every Flash &#038; ActionScript developer ..
